This is Stellaris. If anyone is con wondering, I have awoken. The number of pages that had filled up since the last one I read is quite an austere surprise. It must have been weeks...

Lyle, are you in the Yard right now?

To all my absence has inconvenienced or otherwise affected, please have my apology.
To the fine folks at Serenity, I wish to have your professional opinion. Among the wellness treatment you offer, what is the best for one to indulge in after an unplanned period of sand sleep-and-shower?

[Backdated to the morning after Bellflower's dream. Before work hours, this writing appeared, its writer blissfully unaware of her steamy guest appearance the night before.]

Hello, Edensphere!

Following the completion of my project, I am delighted to invite you to the opening of Ptolemy Planetarium. For those unfamiliar with it, a planetarium is a kind of theatre with projection of stars and other celestial bodies to a domed screen. The event will start with 20 minutes of the inaugural first public showing, followed by a modest after-party with refreshments provided. All free of charge.

In summary:
WHAT: Opening party of Ptolemy Planetarium
WHEN: Sunday, 17 April, 18.00 onwards
WHERE: Captain Planet, the blue-white dome next to the Aquarium
WHO: Everyone (but as the dome has a limited capacity of 20 adult human-sized individuals, for planning purpose I would appreciate a confirmation of your attendance latest by Sunday noon)

If you miss the event but are still interested, the planetarium will afterwards be open to public on an appointment basis.

Please come! I look forward to seeing you there.

- Stellaris

[OOC: Event-style log will be posted on Sunday, or a little earlier because I live in the future. If you want to tag in there but don't reply to this post, tag anyway, the confirmation will be handwaved.]

Good morning, everyone. Last night, I have found myself hatched anew in the Hall of Beginnings. It was a relief that not only can I remember what I had named myself before, but also many of the experiences I have had and people I have met in the last seven months.

Still, for the peace of mind, I would be most grateful if you would tell me about yourselves, here or in person. Your names and the memories we share. Good or bad, I wish not to forget.

And if my absence had burdened you in any way, I truly apologise.

[ooc: Pretend this is written in the morning of March 4th.]
lingeringlegacy: (pensive)
It appears the radios have vanished. Not a trace remain.

What do you think is gained from all that, if any?
lingeringlegacy: (objection!)
After the week of disembodied commentators and everything else, actually, we all should already be aware that some irresponsible entities enjoy making up silly fabrications.

I am not offering or selling anything, so please stop asking. Additionally, I only give cooking lessons to friends.

[If you are around Gene-1's Section 1 apartment this fine Friday morning, you might hear the racket consisting of a woman gasping and a bundle of keys hitting hardwood floor. This writing appears a few minutes afterwards.]

Lockon, Bell, I need you to go to Section 1. This is urgent.

Who is the Scavenger supervisor? Sir/Ma'am, if you're reading this please respond.
lingeringlegacy: (second thoughts)
Several people seem to have vanished in the last 24 hours, so it gets me worried.

Cissus has not shown up at work. Does anyone know of her whereabouts?

If anyone suddenly hears a song about an outlaw named Picasso calling his lover on a cellular phone, please do not be alarmed. It might just mean I am ★Magical in the vicinity.

Lockon-san, can I have a talk with you? Gene-san, [a rather long pause] it may be of purpose if you are present too.

On a different note, are there anyone here with knowledge on making an inflatable dome? Or if none, then on construction using metal frame.

[ooc: As memory punishment, Stellaris is intermittently followed by the Numa Numa song for 4 days.]
lingeringlegacy: (downcast)
[It begins as a rushed and untidy version of Stellaris' usual printlike handwriting.]

Nothing FUNNY or ENTERTAINING about being puppeteered. If IT could have you dance it could

[The writing stops and crossed out haphazardly. A few minutes later, handwriting appears slowly, shaky.]

If anyone knows of any place, anywhere in Edensphere I can not move unless I will it, please tell me.
lingeringlegacy: (evented)
The Tree has seen fit to greet my return from the elevator with a flashy getup I cannot change out of and alterations to my personal effects. I suppose it confirms that one thing has not changed since I last wrote.

Youth, 00, Smoke, Mindelan, Gene, Huo & Hawk - My gratitude for your concerns. I am safe and sound. It was difficult to tell apart day and night back there, but from the cycle of eating and getting hungry, I estimate 1-2 days have passed. Yet, the number of journal pages filled suggests a longer period. How long have I been away? I mis would enjoy meeting you over a cup of tea or coffee. Or pie or pasta. Or anything, really. Foodless is fine too.

Dr Valeth and [Housekeeping NPC supervisor] - My apologies for the absence. I shall report for duty on Monday if it is acceptable to you. By acceptable I also refer to the long fringe trims on my jacket. They look awfully easy to get caught in things.

How did post-hurricane cleanup go for everyone? My house got through just fine, but the humidity seemed quite severe, judging from the state of my components rack. (Unlikely but) does anyone have a proper chamber oven for baking PCBAs? Otherwise I'll have to use a toaster oven but... not sure if the heat distribution's even enough.

Elevator malfunction.
00, Shizu's with me don't worry.
Gene, I

To everyone,
Where can one find a loan of concave glasses? I didn't fall into any spring, but this morning I woke up looking... unlike myself, and with a very inconvenient case of myopia.

I've obtained glasses, much thanks to Kagerou.

To [Name of Housekeeping Supervisor],
I am really sorry, but I am unfit for duty today, at least until finding a workaround for this physical handicap. If you see necessary, I shall make up the hours when my condition has passed. Thank you for your understanding.

The Tokyo wilderness experience have been, for the most part, pleasant and fun, but one of the things I find most interesting is the exhibition in the Future Museum. The 3-D star projection in the museum's theater looked very real, as if I was really in space, gazing into millions of stars, watching how galaxies form. It gave me a sense of great serenity and knowledge unlocked, pouring endlessly like candy from the foam rubber giant lizard we encountered after.

The compact size of the star projector made me think of taking it back to Square Zero, in case anyone else is interested in learning about space, use it for relaxation purposes, or perhaps as decor if we ever wish to organize a function under a starry sky. But it is quite heavy, and I don't know if there are any theater, hall or anywhere it can be put here. Is it even allowed to bring back such a thing?

Speaking of candy, 00 & Nova, I wouldn't be able to finish so much of them by myself, so would you like some? Anyone else who wants candy may also request below. I've got rather plenty.

[ Message in neat handwriting appears! ]

Good morning, Edensphere!

I am a new [ Momentary pause here, as she suddenly feels that string of common words is supposed to mean something else. She can't recall, so she continues. ] hatchling, welcomed earlier today by my kind greeter. My name, or to be exact the name I feel affined to, is Stellaris.

Hopefully we get along well and I can be of assistance to the community, although at the moment I don't remember all that I can do. It seems when I try and do tasks, some feel familiar, like when I tried cooking a light meal, or when I found myself recognising celestial objects in my dream. But I don't suppose guesswork astronomy is a very practical field here, or is it?
