[Placeholder for Stellaris' third memory, Sight/Touch, seen in Wellspring on September 23, the night of the attack and kidnapping. The memory is based on the end of Gundam 00 S2 episode 20, mid-fight of Gaddess vs Cherudim up to Gaddess' final charge with a heat saber towards Cherudim.]

[This takes place morning-ish on the 14th.]

                This is definitely eerie
I am not sure how serious of a concern this is, but   I am at the Bazaar. All of a sudden the streets are invariably blocked with barbed wire and sandbag barricades. A platoon of soldiers(?) just marched by. I can't identify them, not close enough.

[A moment later]

Goodness - an explosion took one of them out. Limited visuals due to dust & debris now. Will be taking cover at the grocer's for a while. Everyone in the Bazaar, be careful.

Krile & Crochet: Doubly so for the Weapons Tree!
lingeringlegacy: (fade away)
This is Stellaris. If anyone is con wondering, I have awoken. The number of pages that had filled up since the last one I read is quite an austere surprise. It must have been weeks...

Lyle, are you in the Yard right now?

To all my absence has inconvenienced or otherwise affected, please have my apology.
To the fine folks at Serenity, I wish to have your professional opinion. Among the wellness treatment you offer, what is the best for one to indulge in after an unplanned period of sand sleep-and-shower?
lingeringlegacy: (smile of smiles)
Sorry for clogging your friends list, everyone.

To anonymous, thanks a lot for the icon space! ♥ Hopefully by the time I return from hiatus this weekend I can fill 'em up with crack and loveliness

[Backdated to the morning after Bellflower's dream. Before work hours, this writing appeared, its writer blissfully unaware of her steamy guest appearance the night before.]

Hello, Edensphere!

Following the completion of my project, I am delighted to invite you to the opening of Ptolemy Planetarium. For those unfamiliar with it, a planetarium is a kind of theatre with projection of stars and other celestial bodies to a domed screen. The event will start with 20 minutes of the inaugural first public showing, followed by a modest after-party with refreshments provided. All free of charge.

In summary:
WHAT: Opening party of Ptolemy Planetarium
WHEN: Sunday, 17 April, 18.00 onwards
WHERE: Captain Planet, the blue-white dome next to the Aquarium
WHO: Everyone (but as the dome has a limited capacity of 20 adult human-sized individuals, for planning purpose I would appreciate a confirmation of your attendance latest by Sunday noon)

If you miss the event but are still interested, the planetarium will afterwards be open to public on an appointment basis.

Please come! I look forward to seeing you there.

- Stellaris

[OOC: Event-style log will be posted on Sunday, or a little earlier because I live in the future. If you want to tag in there but don't reply to this post, tag anyway, the confirmation will be handwaved.]

Good morning, everyone. Last night, I have found myself hatched anew in the Hall of Beginnings. It was a relief that not only can I remember what I had named myself before, but also many of the experiences I have had and people I have met in the last seven months.

Still, for the peace of mind, I would be most grateful if you would tell me about yourselves, here or in person. Your names and the memories we share. Good or bad, I wish not to forget.

And if my absence had burdened you in any way, I truly apologise.

It appears the radios have vanished. Not a trace remain.

What do you think is gained from all that, if any?
lingeringlegacy: (Default)

[When the broadcast starts, only the most perceptive of listeners in the quietest of space will be able to hear the sounds of calm breathing with low electronic hum in the background.]

Hey, Lyle, will you tell me something?
[The woman's voice is soft and relaxed, a manner to address one within intimate distance. She can be recognised as Stellaris, but simple co-workers and casual acquaintances probably never heard her speak that way.]

[The man called Lyle responds gently.] What is it?

About your brother.

What do you say to a menage-a-trois? )
lingeringlegacy: (objection!)
After the week of disembodied commentators and everything else, actually, we all should already be aware that some irresponsible entities enjoy making up silly fabrications.

I am not offering or selling anything, so please stop asking. Additionally, I only give cooking lessons to friends.

[If you are around Gene-1's Section 1 apartment this fine Friday morning, you might hear the racket consisting of a woman gasping and a bundle of keys hitting hardwood floor. This writing appears a few minutes afterwards.]

Lockon, Bell, I need you to go to Section 1. This is urgent.

Who is the Scavenger supervisor? Sir/Ma'am, if you're reading this please respond.
lingeringlegacy: (second thoughts)
Several people seem to have vanished in the last 24 hours, so it gets me worried.

Cissus has not shown up at work. Does anyone know of her whereabouts?

-Stellaris
lingeringlegacy: (within the warmth)
If anyone suddenly hears a song about an outlaw named Picasso calling his lover on a cellular phone, please do not be alarmed. It might just mean I am ★Magical in the vicinity.

Lockon-san, can I have a talk with you? Gene-san, [a rather long pause] it may be of purpose if you are present too.

On a different note, are there anyone here with knowledge on making an inflatable dome? Or if none, then on construction using metal frame.

[ooc: As memory punishment, Stellaris is intermittently followed by the Numa Numa song for 4 days.]
lingeringlegacy: (she turns)
Work was usually Stellaris' way of taking mind off more stressful thoughts, but the current Sphere affliction have added a degree of uncomfortableness to it. At precisely 5 minutes before and after her shifts in Housekeeping and Medical, she would be surrounded by a mist of rainbow-coloured sparkles before any clothes she was wearing vanished. Thankfully, modesty was not seriously marred. Her naked body was covered by glaring radiance that dimmed within seconds, after which she would found herself fully decked in fancy, frilly costumes. One coworker had told her the two versions of costume were relevant to her work shifts, but the inflection she said relevant in suggested a double entendre. Not exactly reassuring. How skirts that short could be practical for the versatility of her tasks, she did not comprehend, but at least the thigh socks kept her legs warm in winter's cold.

Another problem is the, um, catchphrase. The urge to add Japanese honorifics to her speech did not matter much, but she had to put serious effort not to slip into shouting Magical Multitasker Starry Stella! Meido in the morning, Medic in the afternoon~ when introducing herself to new patients. And slipped a couple of times anyway. What was a meido, anyway?

So in these days, nights were blissful times. Toweling her damp hair after a refreshing shower, Stellaris sat down on her bed. It felt almost criminal to add an element that might make the night less restful, but there was something she needed to get done. Her clothes were comfortable, her stomach was filled. Her non-broadcasting notebook was already laid down on the mattress. With that, she took out the memory crystal from her bag. One had landed in front of her on the way to Access Point that afternoon, attached to a tie-dyed parachute descending from undetectable origins. Nobody else had been around. As with the leaf-wrapped waybread in the Dojo, it felt like something she could take, so she did.

(The moment Stellaris touched the crystal, the world turned dark.)

As abruptly as it had gone out, light returned. Stellaris found herself back in her room. She rushed to pick up her pen and notebook, ready to record things that seemed important. Having flipped to the pages assigned for information from her world, Stellaris stopped and stared.

Written on that very page, the name she just heard. In Gene-1's handwriting, next to the two names also written by him and one by her, the name she could not read before:

Sniper → Range → Aim = Lockon
lingeringlegacy: (downcast)
[It begins as a rushed and untidy version of Stellaris' usual printlike handwriting.]

Nothing FUNNY or ENTERTAINING about being puppeteered. If IT could have you dance it could

[The writing stops and crossed out haphazardly. A few minutes later, handwriting appears slowly, shaky.]

If anyone knows of any place, anywhere in Edensphere I can not move unless I will it, please tell me.
lingeringlegacy: (evented)
The Tree has seen fit to greet my return from the elevator with a flashy getup I cannot change out of and alterations to my personal effects. I suppose it confirms that one thing has not changed since I last wrote.

Youth, 00, Smoke, Mindelan, Gene, Huo & Hawk - My gratitude for your concerns. I am safe and sound. It was difficult to tell apart day and night back there, but from the cycle of eating and getting hungry, I estimate 1-2 days have passed. Yet, the number of journal pages filled suggests a longer period. How long have I been away? I mis would enjoy meeting you over a cup of tea or coffee. Or pie or pasta. Or anything, really. Foodless is fine too.

Dr Valeth and [Housekeeping NPC supervisor] - My apologies for the absence. I shall report for duty on Monday if it is acceptable to you. By acceptable I also refer to the long fringe trims on my jacket. They look awfully easy to get caught in things.

How did post-hurricane cleanup go for everyone? My house got through just fine, but the humidity seemed quite severe, judging from the state of my components rack. (Unlikely but) does anyone have a proper chamber oven for baking PCBAs? Otherwise I'll have to use a toaster oven but... not sure if the heat distribution's even enough.

Elevator malfunction.
00, Shizu's with me don't worry.
Gene, I

[The hastily written letters cut off. There would be no reply.]
