Playgrounds are designed for use by children. Why do adults seem to derive enjoyment from it as well?

Pardon me, day in and day out, sometimes I lose track of journal conversations. My name is Stellaris.

It is not only the Wilderness that I mean, but also other objects in everyday life. If a portion of adults prefer child-like elements, it is curious that such designs don't crop up more in residential and work places. But I think Youth proposed an interesting hypothesis. [Draws an arrow to here.]

Oho, I do love semantics--he makes a good point. You can still act like a kid without acting like a spoiled brat. But I think a lot of people are scared to look child-like, so more youthful designs don't appear as often because folks are embarrassed. They can go to the Wilderness and goof off if they want, but if they have a slide in their backyard it's embarrassing. Ah, double standards.
